Long Beach, CA (October 2, 2024) A woman was killed on Tuesday, October 1 when riding as a passenger on a motorcycle. The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m.
LBPD reported that the crash occurred on East Ocean Boulevard and Kennebec Avenue. They also released a statement:
“Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and transported one male motorcyclist and one female motorcycle passenger to a local hospital, where the female passenger succumbed to her injuries.”
“The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Ocean Boulevard when it drifted into the westbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard and struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse traveling westbound. The motorcycle driver and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in the westbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard, police said. The department added that speed is believed to be a factor in the collision.”
