Rosemont, CA (September 27, 2024) A student at Albert Einstein Middle School in Rosemont was struck by a vehicle while riding a bike to school on Thursday morning, September 26th. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, making it a hit-and-run, officers reported. It all happened on Mirandy Drive, not far from Kiefer Boulevard, according to reports.
The juvenile was crossing the street on his bike within the designated crosswalk, when they were suddenly hit by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle quickly hit the gas and fled the scene, officers reported. The juvenile was knocked off the bicycle and landed on the roadway with injuries.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the boy on the ground. Officers began giving the juvenile first aid at the scene. Paramedics arrived and quickly transported the child to a hospital in the area. The extent of the child’s injuries has not been disclosed at this time.
Officers began investigating the scene and are encouraging witnesses to contact the California Highway Patrol with any information they have regarding this hit-and-run. Officers are determined to piece together what happened near that Sacramento County middle school. They are working to find the vehicle responsible and, in doing so, bring the driver to justice for hitting a child and fleeing the scene.
