Two vehicles collided near the Orange Grove Energy Power Station on State Route 76, claiming one person’s life. The deadly crash took place around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pala del Norte Road.
Two vehicles, including a gray Ford Ranger pickup truck, collided for reasons unknown on Wednesday evening in Pala. They were both driving along State Route 76, not far from the Pala Casino, when they crashed. The impact from the crash caused the pickup truck to overturn, according to reports.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the two damaged vehicles on State Route 76, near the Orange Grove Energy Power Station. They quickly made their way to the vehicles, ready to give life-saving treatment to anyone in need. Unfortunately, they found one person with fatal injuries inside one of the vehicles. With heavy hearts, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Authorities are working to determine what caused this fatal collision in Pala, as well as who was responsible. Officers requested tow trucks to the scene to remove both of the damaged vehicles. The roadway was littered with glass and debris following the collision, reports indicated. Crews worked as quickly as they could clear the roadway, following the investigation.
