Studio City, CA (August 23, 2024) A scary accident took place in Studio City today around 4:30 a.m. when a Metro bus struck a pole.
The crash happened in the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard. It’s unclear why the bus driver lost control of the vehicle, but the collision left seven people injured. They were taken to a trauma center, but reports state that their injuries are not life threatening.
The bus driver was treated at the scene and released. Images of the bus show the entire front windshield is cracked and hanging off of the vehicle. There is heavy damage on the front-right side especially.
LAPD is still investigating this incident.
