The California Highway Patrol and the Sacramento Police Department arrived at the scene to find traffic backed up on Franklin Boulevard. At the center of the traffic jam was the two-vehicle collision. Upon arriving at the scene, officers checked the vehicles to find those in need of medical attention. One person was found with significant injuries, reports indicated. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for unknown injuries.
