La Habra, CA (August 11th, 2024) An accident in La Habra left a motorcycle officer in critical condition and one other person with non-life-threatening injuries. It all happened on Saturday, August 10th, just before 9:00 a.m., reports indicated. The collision took place at the intersection of Lambert Road and Walnut Street.

A motorcycle officer was on duty on Saturday, August 11th, in the town of La Habra. They approached the intersection of Lambert Road and Walnut Street as a small, tan-colored SUV approached from a different direction. For reasons that remain a mystery, the two entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide. The impact threw the police officer from the motorcycle, causing them to land in the middle of the intersection. The motorcycle sustained major damage and landed on the roadway in a heap of dented metal.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene quickly and found the motorcycle officer on the ground, obviously injured. Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department discovered that the officer had sustained critical injuries in the accident and rushed them to a nearby hospital just after 9:00 a.m.. The driver of the SUV was also injured, according to reports. Paramedics transported them to a hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at approximately 9:30 a.m.

Investigators are working to determine what happened at that La Habra intersection on Saturday morning, August 10th. Officers had to call a tow truck to remove the damaged SUV from the scene and the motorcycle had to be hauled away as well, officers reported. Debris littered the roadway and had to be swept up so motorists could easily continue through the intersection. Officers are waking that anyone who might have information regarding this La Habra accident, contact them at 562-383-4300.
