    Vehicle Overturned In Newberry Springs Crash On I-40

    Newberry Springs, CA (July 26, 2024) A collision involving a semi-truck occurred on Interstate 40 in Newberry Springs on Thursday afternoon, July 25th. The accident injured at least one person, reports indicated. The San Bernardino County crash involved three vehicles and occurred around 1:10 p.m. and officers reported that children were involved.

    A black Honda Civic, a white semi-truck and another vehicle were driving with the flow of traffic on Interstate 40 on Thursday afternoon. The black Honda Civic drifted and ended up clipping the white semi-truck, according to reports. The impact caused the black Honda to roll. It finally came to a stop in the left lane of the interstate. The collision caused the vehicles to collide with a third vehicle, that wasn’t identified. It came to a stop on its roof, officers said. The semi-truck stopped in the middle of the interstate, becoming a huge traffic hazard.

    Emergency personnel quickly arrived at the scene and found the chaotic mess. They quickly went from vehicle to vehicle, ready to give life-saving aid to anyone who needed it. One vehicle had children in the back seat, according to reports. Officers found at least one person with injuries, although it is unknown if the injured were adults or children. Paramedics loaded the injured into an ambulance and took them to a local hospital where they received treatment for their injuries.

    The three-vehicle collision on Interstate 40 in Newberry Springs is being investigated by officers. They are working to determine what caused the black Honda Civic to hit the semi-truck and cause this major accident on Interstate 40. Tow trucks had to come to the scene and remove the badly damaged vehicles from the roadway, officers reported. The debris that was left behind was cleaned up as quickly as possible in an effort to allow traffic to continue with no issues.
