Littlerock, CA (April 29, 2024) The community of Littlerock is saddened, following a two-vehicle collision that claimed five lives. The victims have been identified as Corry Holley Jr, 23, Aisha Shoats, 23, Reynolds Alvarodo, 60, Emilio Dermedy, 24, and Pauline Martinez Salinas, 20. It all happened on the Pearblossom Highway at 106th Street East, just after 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28th. Sadly, Officer E. Larsen told City News Service that there were no survivors.

A blue Toyota Yaris and a gray or blue Mitsubishi sedan were traveling on eastbound Pearblossom (138) Highway on Sunday evening. At 106th Street East, the two vehicles collided. Officers are still not certain what happened to cause this fatal accident. Both vehicles were completely destroyed, officers said.

The 911 call was received at approximately 8:12 p.m. and the California Highway Patrol was the first to arrive at the scene. They found the two vehicles, nothing more than wreckage now, sitting in the middle of the eastbound lanes. Debris covered the highway in all directions, witnesses said. Officers found people trapped in both vehicles and special tools had to be used to free the victims. Between the two cars, there were five occupants. Sadly, officers at the scene said no one survived this horrific accident. All five people were pronounced dead at the scene.

At 9:09 p.m., officers issued a SigAlert and shut down both sides of 106th Street East. They investigated the scene and are working to determine what caused this traumatic and deadly accident in Littlerock. Tow trucks had to haul the wreckage from the scene and crews cleaned debris and glass from the highway.
