Fresno, CA ) August 30, 2023) A bicyclist was injured after a vehicle hit him in Fresno on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Fresno Police Department. The accident happened a little before 4:00 p.m. at Palm Avenue and Shaw Avenue.

A bicyclist in his 30s was riding southbound on Palm Avenue on Tuesday afternoon. Sgt. Diana Trueba Vega said that a green, four-door SUV struck the bicyclist. The collision knocked the biker off his bike and his head hit the concrete, causing an injury to his head. It isn’t known at this time if he was wearing a helmet or not. He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment.
The driver of the green SUV didn’t stop and left the scene. Authorities are searching for the person responsible. This accident is being investigated.
