Huntington Beach, CA (July 22, 2023) A 14-year-old girl was hit by a car while riding an e-bike through an intersection in Huntington Beach. Huntington Beach Police Department Lt. Thoby Archer said the girl had Air Pods in her ears and ran right through the red light without stopping. She was hit by a vehicle and never even saw it coming.

Archer said they are seeing an increase in e-bike accidents because many do not understand the rules of the road or they simply aren’t paying attention.
