Carlsbad, CA (July 15, 2023) Around 2:20 a.m. this morning, a pedestrian was walking on the southbound freeway on-ramp to San Diego at Poinsettia Lane in Carlsbad. California Highway Patrol stated that a white vehicle struck the pedestrian.

Authorities said the pedestrian was found dead, laying on the on-ramp. No other information is available at this time.
