(Sacramento, California) A road worker died when a suspected DUI Honda Sedan driver struck a construction vehicle on Monday in Sacramento
A Bay line spokesperson told CBS News Sacramento that a foreman on site reported the Honda Sedan first hit a barrier truck. The barrier truck was to protect the workers. The vehicle still continued and knocked the roadworker out of the freeway and onto Stockton Boulevard. The roadworker were pronounced dead on scene.
Construction workers were actively working along highway 99, north ramp to eastbound Highway 50. The involved contractors of the roadwork is San Francisco-based Bay line Cutting and Coring. They were subcontracted by a Caltrans contractor.
California Highway Patrol Lt. Kris Rolin states that the driver of Honda Sedan is a female in her 20s. She also states that the female driver hit another vehicle after leaving the scene along Highway 50.
The driver caught shortly after the incident.

This law discusses that anyone under the age of 21 with 0.05 or more of alcohol in his or her blood is unlawful to drive a vehicle.
