(Douglas County, Nevada) Two vehicles were involved in a collision in Douglas County in Nevada. Three people are currently injured due to the collision.

Nevada Highway Patrol received a report on the two head-on collisions at around 7:27 p.m. The incident occurred 10 miles on U.S 50 between State Route 28 and Glenbrook Road.

The SUV and Sedan riders were injured. Two were flown by an air ambulance to a hospital and one taken by ground ambulance.

Nevada State Police say that impairment may have been involved in this collision. The investigation is currently ongoing.

    Analysis on Douglas County, Nevada

Because impairment may have been a factor in this collision, investigators may want to review the violations of the DUI laws. This law states one of the following violations which includes DUI penalties. The penalties include arrest, vehicle inbounded, two days or 6 months in jail or community service, fined $400 to $1,000, chemical test fee $60, DUI School or Substance Abuse Treatment and Victim Impact Panel.

Investigators may want to review the Traffic laws on the DMV website, to determine if the driver had violated any rule. One of the turns and lanes rule is a U-Turns which is mentioned in NRS 484B.403 as well. This law states that U-turns are generally allowed. It also states that in a business area, you have to be located on an intersection or on a divided highway with an appropriate exit. If the driver was not following traffic signals and lanes, then that may be the result of the collision.

    Advice for the Family

If you have lost a loved one in this incident, staying in contact with the Nevada Highway Patrol can help you receive more information from the investigation. You can request official reports when they become available to better understand the circumstances.

You may also consider speaking with a qualified legal professional experienced in pedestrian accident cases. They can help explain your options and guide you through next steps. In addition, seeking support from family, friends, or grief counseling services can provide comfort during this difficult time.
