(Sacramento, CA) A Jefferson Boulevard hit and run crash killed Jaea Chapman, 17, and Layla Chrissa Clemons, 17, in West Sacramento.
On Saturday, August 2, at night, the Jefferson Boulevard hit and run crash occurred according to West Sacramento police.
When police investigated, they learned Jaea Chapman and Layla Chrissa Clemons rode on bikes on Jefferson Boulevard. At some point, a hit and run driver, now identified as 71-year-old David Alison of Fair Oaks, struck the teenagers. Alison fled the scene and did not stop to help the victims.
By the time paramedics arrived at the collision site, they pronounced Chapman and Clemons dead. With the help of Vacaville police, West Sacramento police found, and arrested David Alison for the Jefferson Boulevard hit and run crash.
Clemons’ family set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses.
