Tracy, CA (September 25, 2024) A two-vehicle collision in Tracy left one person injured on Tuesday morning, September 24th, 2024. The collision occurred just after 8:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 205, near the North MacArthur Drive on-ramp, officers reported.
A collision involving a semi-truck and another vehicle occurred in Tracy on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred on eastbound Interstate 205 right at 8:02 a.m. The collision left both vehicles with damage, sitting in the middle of the roadway, reports indicated. Debris littered the roadway in all directions, as well, causing traffic hazards in the area.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the semi-truck and the other vehicle, both with damage, sitting in the middle of the eastbound lanes of I-205. They hurried to the vehicles to see if anyone had been injured in the accident. One person was found with non-life-threatening injuries, according to traffic logs. At this time, it isn’t known if the victim was treated at the scene or transported to a nearby hospital.
Officers are investigating this accident to determine not only what caused this two-vehicle collision, but who was at fault. A tow truck was called to remove one of the vehicles from the scene, following the initial investigation. Crews worked as quickly as they could to clean the debris off the roadway so traffic could resume, according to reports.
