San Jose, CA (July 26, 2024) A tragic accident in San Jose claimed the life of a female pedestrian on Thursday night, July 25th. Officers reported that the collision occurred at the intersection of La Ragione Avenue and Tully Road just before 6:30 p.m, near the Tully Community Branch Library and the Nuestra Tierra Community Garden. The woman survived for a short time, but later died at the hospital.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the woman on the ground in critical condition. She was loaded into an ambulance and rushed to a local hospital to receive treatment. The emergency staff did everything they could, but the victim’s injuries proved to be too severe. She passed away at the hospital and was, sadly, pronounced dead.
The San Jose Police Department is working to determine what caused this fatal pedestrian accident. Officers had to close a section of westbound Tully Avenue from Senter Road to Lucretia Avenue as they investigated the scene. They hope to better understand what happened and who was at fault, according to reports.
