Barstow, CA (January 22, 2024) A vehicle struck and killed David Ochoa, 23, in Barstow on Saturday, January 20th. The pedestrian accident happened at approximately 6:11 p.m. at the intersection of Tumblewood Drive and Lenwood Road, officers reported.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found Ochoa lying in the roadway at the intersection of Lenwood Road and Tumblewood Drive. He had sustained fatal injuries during the collision and was, unfortunately, pronounced dead at the scene at exactly 6:44 p.m., according to reports.
Officers do not know what happened leading up to the fatal accident in Barstow, nor has there been any word on whether or not the driver remained at the scene. The Barstow Police Department is currently leading this investigation and is determined to figure out exactly what happened at this intersection that claimed Ochoa’s life.
