(San Diego, CA) A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a Sports Arena Boulevard collision in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego.
On Sunday, August 3, at 3:22 a.m., the Sports Arena Boulevard collision occurred. According to the San Diego Police Department, it happened across the 4100 block of the street.
When authorities investigated, they learned a man crossed Sports Arena Boulevard. At that moment, a 28-year-old woman, driving a 2015 Toyota RAV4, did not see the man and struck him. The man suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.
By the time paramedics arrived, they transported the man to a hospital and is believed to be in the intensive care unit. The driver remained at the Sports Arena Boulevard collision site and cooperated with the investigation. SDPD officials do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
