Dallas, TX (December 17, 2023) 35-year-old Sara Cunningham was arrested for a hit-and-run accident that left a child injured near Timberglen Park in Dallas. The hit-and-run accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. in the 3700 block of Timerglen Road on Friday, November 10th.
Officers with the Dallas Police Department received a call about a pedestrian being struck by a car, reports said. Police officers arrived at the scene and discovered that a child had been hit by a vehicle and the vehicle was nowhere to be found. Witnesses told officers that a gray 4-door sedan with a damaged right side mirror had hit the child.

The child involved was injured, but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. As of now, there is no update on their condition.
Officers began a month-long investigation and were determined to find the driver of the car that struck the child and then fled. They found Cunningham on December 15th and placed her under arrest. She is charged with collision involving injury and will possibly face more charges, as well.
