REDWOOD CITY, CA (NOVEMBER 25, 2023): A pedestrian is dead following an accident involving a Caltrain this week.
According to Caltrain officials, the incident occurred on Friday, November 24th on Brewster Avenue in Redwood City at around 2:55 p.m. Reports from the train company indicate the southbound train #644 was involved with a collision that left one person dead. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.

The train was occupied by 149 passengers, none of whom were injured in the collision. The track was shut down for more than half an hour before opening up again for one-way traffic around 3:30 p.m.. By 4:54 p.m., both tracks were open for service.
This is the 13th fatality involving a Caltrain this year. Information regarding this event remains limited, and the cause of the crash is not known as of yet. Identifying information of the victim remains undisclosed as well.
Redwood City officials will be investigating this fatal Caltrain pedestrian accident to determine the surrounding circumstances of this unfortunate crash.
