Las Vegas, NV (May 25, 2024) An accident in Las Vegas left a pedestrian in serious condition and left witnesses in the area concerned on Friday night, May 24th. The Collision took place near the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Lake Mead Boulevard just after 9:30 p.m.
The sun had set over Las Vegas as vehicles traveled to and from their destinations. Pedestrians were also out, doing the same. Just minutes after 9:30 p.m., a vehicle struck a pedestrian near the intersection of Martin Luther King and Lake Mead Boulevards. The force from the impact threw the pedestrian several feet where they landed, hard, on the ground.
Paramedics arrived and found that the pedestrian had sustained serious injuries in the collision. They placed the pedestrian on a stretcher and rushed them to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Officers are still working this case to determine what exactly caused this pedestrian accident in this Las Vegas intersection. They were forced to close the intersection for approximately two hours as they conducted their investigation of the scene, according to reports.
Update: On July 11, the pedestrian tragically succumbed to his injuries. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
