Without warning, the vehicle struck the pedestrian. The impact sent the victim flying through the air before coming to a hard landing on the ground. The driver immediately hit the brakes and got out to check on the victim.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the vehicle, headlights still shining. The driver was standing outside the vehicle, anxiously waiting for authorities.
