Vista, CA (October 24, 2024) A deadly accident occurred in Vista on Wednesday evening, October 23rd, 2024. A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck while walking at Townsite Drive and East Vista Way. It all happened just after 5:00 p.m., according to reports.
It was early evening on Wednesday, October 23rd, as a man in his 60s stepped into a crosswalk at the intersection of Townsite Drive and East Vista Way. As he crossed, a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, driven by a woman, came through the intersection and hit the pedestrian.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground with fatal injuries. Sadly, they pronounced him dead at the scene and requested a coroner. The woman driving the pickup remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities during their investigation.
