Phelan, CA (September 18, 2024) A tragic hit-and-run accident claimed a pedestrian’s life on Monday night, September 16th, in Phelan. It happened on Phelan Road, not far from Buttemere Road, according to reports. It happened at approximately 7:44 p.m. and the driver fled the scene.
It was 7:44 p.m. on Monday evening, September 16th, when a pedestrian was suddenly struck by a vehicle on Phelon Road. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving the pedestrian along on the ground. When emergency crews arrived, they found the victim on the ground and determined that they had been hit by a vehicle. However, there was no vehicle around, reports indicated.
Officers were ready to administer life-saving measures but tragically, the pedestrian had already succumbed to their injuries. They were pronounced dead at the scene and officers requested a coroner. Detectives investigated the scene and are determined to find the vehicle responsible for this deadly hit-and-run collision. Once they find the vehicle responsible. they plan to bring the driver into custody.
