Austin, TX (November 21, 2023) A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured on Tuesday morning on FM 812, near the Circuit of the Americas, according to authorities. The collision occurred shortly after 3:00 a.m., between State Highway 130 and COTA.
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground. Paramedics began performing CPR to the victim as they were taking them to a local hospital for treatment.

They had first called for a STAR Flight to come and rush the victim to the hospital. The helicopter arrived at the scene and landed at the COTA parking lot, but the flight was put on hold and then canceled after the victim went into cardiac arrest, according to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services. He was rushed to the hospital via ambulance in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating this accident to try and determine what exactly happened and why the pedestrian was struck. The investigation is being led by the Department of Public Safety. The victim’s name has not been revealed nor has his condition.
