    Pedestrian killed in Pasadena hit-and-run

    A pedestrian was fatally struck while attempting to cross the street in Pasadena Wednesday night.

    PASADENA, CA (JULY 20, 2023): A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street in Temple City, Pasadena Wednesday evening. The man was walking on the crosswalk between Pentland Street and Rosemead Boulevard just after 10 p.m. when a vehicle hading south fatally struck him. According to authorities, the driver had ran a red light, leading to the collision. The driver fled the scene.

    Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The identity of the driver remains unknown as authorities gather statements from witnesses who may have seen the vehicle.

    The identity of the deceased individual remains confidential as well.
