Sacramento, CA (June 12, 2024) A tragic crash occurred on Monday evening at a north Sacramento mall, and a pedestrian was sadly killed.
At 11:24 p.m., police and medical personnel were dispatched to the Arden Fair shopping center to give the pedestrian emergency treatment. While details are still unfolding, Sacramento police reported that the driver who struck the victim did stay at the scene. However, they are not yet sure what exactly caused the crash to happen. It is also still unknown whether the pedestrian was a man or a woman, how old they were, or where exactly they were hit in the shopping center’s vicinity.

We do know that Arden Way, the street on which the shopping center is located, remained closed between Challenge Way and Point West for at least six hours as authorities investigated the scene. Police cars surrounded the area, and an entrance to the Arden Fair mall had to be closed into the early morning.
It is being reported that the Sacramento Coroner will not release the identity of the victim of this collision until next of kin has been notified.
