RIO LINDA, CA (AUGUST 25, 2023): A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Rio Linda, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at around 12:37 p.m., when a driver in an orange truck struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Dry Creek Road and O Street. The cause of the collision remains unknown.

The pedestrian was knocked onto the roadway due to the impact of the collision, but remained conscious and breathing. Emergency responders transported the individual to a local hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the Rio Linda collision that injured this pedestrian.
