Fresno County, CA (December 28, 2023) Sanger resident, Myrna Blanco, 46, sustained critical injuries in a hit-and-run accident in Fresno County. The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred just after 7:00 p.m. on Temperance Avenue, just north of North Avenue.

Blanco was walking on the shoulder of the road when she was struck by a vehicle on Temperance Avenue, according to authorities. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to help Blanco. She was left alone on the side of the road with serious injuries.
Emergency crews hurried to the scene and rushed Blanco to a local hospital for treatment. Officers said she is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Officers are investigating this accident and are currently looking for the suspect who hit Blanco and left her on the side of the road.
