Marina Del Rey, CA (August 21, 2024) A tragic accident claimed a 29-year-old woman’s life in Marina Del Rey on Sunday morning, August 18th, 2024. Kruti Pandya was walking when she was struck and killed by a vehicle that immediately fled the scene, according to reports. The fatal incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Washington and Lincoln Boulevards.
Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section told City News Service that they received a call about a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident right around 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the pedestrian lying on the ground, but there was no vehicle. Officers hurried to the woman’s side, ready to administer life-saving treatment, but discovered that she had sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene and officers called for someone from the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner to come to the scene.
The scene was thoroughly investigated and officers are determined to find the vehicle that struck Pandya at that intersection. In finding the vehicles, they are resolved to locate the driver responsible for this deadly hit-and-run in Marina Del Rey.
