Gardena, CA (August 26, 2024) A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle in Gardena on Saturday, August 24. It happened at about 11:55 p.m. in the 1600 block of Rosecrans Avenue.
Police told City News Service, “Based on preliminary investigation, the driver was traveling eastbound on Rosecrans Avenue when their vehicle struck the pedestrian on Rosecrans Avenue. The vehicle driver did not remain at the scene and drove away.”
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. She has been identified as 45-year-old Shauntae Nicole Parker.
Gardena police are investigating this crash and encourage anyone with information to call them right away.
