Pomona, CA (September 9, 2024) A motorist tragically killed a woman in Pomona on Friday, September 6 at about 9:55 p.m.
Officers responded to Mission Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue and found the woman suffering from serious injuries in the road. Paramedics sadly pronounced her dead at the scene.
The driver who struck the pedestrian fled the scene, but later turned themselves in to the Pomona Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time.
