Bonita, CA (October 21, 2024) A pedestrian lost their life on Friday evening, October 18th, 2024, in Bonita. The fatal accident occurred on Bonita Road, not far from Willow Street, at approximately 7:30 p.m. in San Diego County. Sadly, the pedestrian passed away as paramedics were rushing them to a local hospital for treatment.
A pedestrian was walking along Bonita Road on Friday evening. As he walked, a Chrysler Town and County minivan approached and suddenly struck the pedestrian. The impact left a dent in the minivan’s hood and sent the pedestrian hitting the ground, hard. The driver, a 66-year-old man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, officers reported.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the victim on the ground. Officers reported that the pedestrian had suffered life-threatening injuries during the accident. Paramedics quickly placed the victim in an ambulance and rushed him to a local hospital. However, he never made it to the hospital. According to reports, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and died on the way to the hospital.
The accident is being investigated to determine what happened to cause this fatal pedestrian accident in Bonita. Detectives are also hoping to uncover who was responsible for this collision.
