La Habra, CA (April 12, 2024) A two-vehicle collision in La Habra ended with one of the cars driving into a group of students from Sonora High School on the sidewalk. A total of eight people were injured in this accident that happened at the intersection of La Habra Boulevard and Palm Street. It happened around 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10th, according to reports.

A group of high school students stood on the sidewalk near the intersection of Palm Street and La Habra Boulevard on the afternoon of April 10th. As they stood, two cars collided near the intersection for unknown reasons. One of the drivers lost control and went over the curb and onto the sidewalk, where it struck seven high school students.

Paramedics arrived along with police officers and found one vehicle in the road and the other on the sidewalk with injured minors all around it. In total, paramedics found one driver with injuries and seven high school students. Officers reported that none of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries in this collision.

Officers with the La Habra Police Department believe that one of the drivers ran a red light and that is what led to this collision. They continue to investigate this accident to determine the cause and figure out who was at fault. Anyone with information regarding this accident is asked to contact the La Habra Police Department.

Officers would like to remind drivers that speeding and running red lights/stop signs is not only illegal, but also dangerous. These laws are in place to keep our communities safe and we, as drivers, have an obligation to follow these laws when we are behind the wheel.

Our team at Accident News Now would like to wish the eight injured people a quick recovery following this crazy accident in La Habra.
