San Diego, CA (January 8, 2024) A 91-year-old man was struck by a car while walking in the Normal Heights community of San Diego on Saturday, January 6th. The accident took place at the intersection of Adams Avenue and Felton Street in the North Park area of San Diego around 6:17 p.m., authorities said.
The San Diego Police Department reported that the 91-year-old pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by a Toyota Corrola. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and waited for emergency crews to arrive.

Police officers and paramedics arrived to find the elderly man lying in the street. He sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Medical personnel said that while his injuries are serious, they are not life-threatening.
