Oakley, CA (September 6, 2023) A quad rider was killed on Tuesday morning after colliding with a vehicle in Oakley, accord to the Oakley Police Department. It happened just before 7:00 a.m. on Neroly Road.

The collision happened near Elm, in the 5200 block of Neroly road. The force caused the quad rider to be thrown into a nearby vineyard. The driver of the vehicle involved was unsure if the rider was deceased or not because they weren’t moving.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District arrived at the scene and located the ride. They cancelled further emergency crews because the rider was declared dead at the scene. It is unclear if speeding or distracted driving is a factor but the Oakley Police Department is investigating the crash.
