Lincoln, CA (August 8, 2024) The community of Lincoln was saddened as news spread of a motorcyclist dying in a collision. The tragic accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, August 7th, on Godley Road. It happened in Placer County, near Mount Pleasant Road, according to reports.
A motorcyclist was riding along Godley Road on Wednesday evening as another vehicle approached. At approximately 5:30 p.m., right at 4081 Godley Road, the motorcyclist approached a gray Toyota Sienna minivan. The minivan attempted a left turn into a driveway on Godley, right in front of the motorcycle. The rider had no time to react and slammed into the side of the minivan, according to reports. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the middle of the roadway. The smashed motorcycle fell to the ground several feet from its rider.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and hurried to the motorcyclist’s side. They began performing life-saving measures on the rider, but sadly, nothing could be done. They eventually realized this and stopped, pronouncing the victim dead at the scene. The driver of the minivan remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities during their investigation.
