San Jose, CA (July 12, 2024) On Thursday, July 11, a fatal accident took place in a neighborhood in south San Jose.
Officers received word of a bad crash and quickly responded to the scene at Winfield Boulevard and Furlong Drive. They arrived a little after 4 p.m. and discovered that a motorcycle and another vehicle were involved in the collision.
An investigation is ongoing, and we await more details about the circumstances surrounding the crash. Somehow, the motorcyclist and the other vehicle collided, and tragically, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim has not been made public. It’s unclear if the driver of the other vehicle sustained injuries, or if any passengers were involved.
This crash has been reported as the 24th fatal collision to occur in San Jose this year.
The roads surrounding the crash were closed for several hours.
