Petaluma, CA (October 4, 2023) A motorcyclist was injured on Tuesday morning, October 3rd, when a vehicle rolled through a stop sign and struck them. Petaluma Police Sgt. Walt Spiller said the collision occurred shortly before 9:00 a.m.

Witnesses at the scene said a vehicle rolled through the stop sign without stopping and hit the motorcycle. Sgt. Spiller said the motorcyclist had the right of way at the time of the collision.
The motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries, including head injuries, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle that hit the motorcycle was uninjured.
Officers do not suspect speed to be a factor in this collision.
