      Motorcyclist Hurt In Long Beach Collision On 710 Freeeway

      Long Beach, CA (June 26, 2024) A collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle occurred in Long Beach on Tuesday afternoon, June 25th. The accident left the motorcyclist with serious injuries, according to reports. The collision took place on the 710 Freeway in the northbound lanes, not too far from the eastbound State Route 91 transition, right around 2:00 p.m.

      A white Nissan Altima was heading north on the 710 Freeway in Long Beach on Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 2:00 p.m., it collided with a motorcycle, but authorities are still not sure what exactly happened. The two vehicles collided near the transition to eastbound SR-91, according to reports. The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle and landed several feet away. The driver of the Nissan stopped and waited for authorities to arrive at the scene.

      Officers with the California Highway Patrol were the first to arrive at the scene. They found the motorcyclist on the ground with injuries, but the extent of the rider’s injuries in still unknown at this time. Paramedics arrived and transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital to receive treatment for injuries they sustained. The motorcycle had to be hauled from the scene following the initial investigation, according to reports.

      There is no word as to whether the driver of the Nissan was injured in this two-vehicle collision in Long Beach. Officers gathered information and are working to not only determine what caused this motorcyclist accident, but also, who was at fault. Some debris was left behind from the collision and workers quickly cleared it from the freeway, allowing traffic to resume.
