Las Vegas, NV (October 14, 2024) A collision with a truck left a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries in Las Vegas. The collision happened at approximately 10:22 p.m. on Saturday night, October 12th, 2024. Officers reported that the accident happened on S. Main Street, just north of East Carson Avenue.
Initial reports indicated that a 2023 Royal Enfield Hunter 250 motorcycle was heading north on S. Main Street in Las Vegas on Saturday night. At the same time, a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck was headed south on the same road. Video surveillance showed the pickup truck in the left turn lane as the motorcycle approached. The pickup attempted the turn, not seeing the motorcycle, reports indicated. The motorcycle crashed into the front of the pickup truck, which caused the motorcycle to flip. The rider was thrown several feet before making a hard landing on the roadway.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the rider on the ground with life-threatening injuries. They were rushed to Medical Center’s Trauma Unit and reports indicate that they remain in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, following the accident. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section is heading the investigation into this crash.
