Good Hope, CA (May 7, 2024) – A somber atmosphere envelops the town of Good Hope following a tragic collision that claimed the life of Jason Frost, a 44-year old motorcyclist and resident of Lake Elsinore. The incident occurred on Highway 74 at the intersection with Betty Road shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, May 2nd, 2024.
The victim, identified as Jason Frost, a 44-year-old, tragically lost his life in the collision. According to Officer Mike Lassig of the California Highway Patrol, Frost was traveling at an unknown speed when the driver of a 2019 Toyota Highlander, a 52-year-old woman from Hesperia, attempted to turn onto the highway from Betty Road, intending to head east.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, the SUV turned directly into the path of Frost, leaving him unable to avoid the collision. The impact caused Frost to be ejected from his motorcycle onto the highway.
Despite the swift response of Riverside County Fire Department paramedics, Jason Frost unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Toyota and her passenger, a 53-year-old man from Hesperia, sustained injuries but declined hospitalization after receiving treatment at the scene by paramedics.
