Salinas, CA (October 25, 2024) Danny Garcia, 34, was killed in a motorcycle collision with another vehicle in front of the Salinas DMV on Thursday evening, October 24th, 2024. The accident happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Maryal Drive and East Laurel Drive. The collision claimed the rider’s life and injured a passenger inside either vehicle, according to reports.
The motorcycle was heading east on East Laurel Drive on Thursday morning. As it approached Maryal Drive, a Honda approached the intersection. It turned left directly in front of Garcia’s motorcycle, according to reports. The two vehicles collided, throwing Garcia from his motorcycle.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found Garcia on the ground with fatal injuries. They were ready to try and save Garcia’s life, but he had been killed in the collision. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. Officers found a passenger inside the Honda with non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports. It has not been disclosed if the passenger was treated at the scene or taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officers are investigating this accident in an attempt to uncover what caused this deadly collision in Salinas. They are also working to determine who was at fault. A tow truck was called to the scene to remove the motorcycle and the damaged Honda from the scene, reports indicated.
