Victorville, CA (August 27, 2024) A collision in Victorville on Friday, August 23rd, left five people with injuries. Reports indicated that both drivers were driving while under the influence. It happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Mojave Drive, not far from Ferndale Drive, reports indicated.
A man was the only occupant inside a silver Mercedes-Benz, while a silver Honda carried two adults and three juveniles, according to reports. The cause of this accident remains unknown, but the two vehicles ended up colliding. One of the vehicles rolled and came to a stop on its roof.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles. The Honda had sustained major front-end damaged and the Mercedes-Benz was on its roof, completely smashed and destroyed. Paramedics hurried to both vehicles, ready to offer assistance. Four of the people inside the Honda were taken to a local hospital, via ambulance, with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the Mercedes was found with life-threatening injuries, reports suggested. Officers requested a medical helicopter, which landed on the roadway near the scene.

Officers had to close Mojave Drive from El Evado Raod to Jeraldo Drive for several hours following the accident. Officers gathered as much evidence as they could and took statements at the scene and are determined to figure out what happened in Victorville that summer evening. Officers have determined that the drivers of both vehicles were intoxicated at the time of the collision.
