A Nissan Sentra drifted into their lane and hit them head-on. The driver of the Mazda said his wife, who was seated in the back with their daughter, received the worst injuries. She was taken to the hospital with a severely damaged uterus. Medical staff told her that her unborn baby had been killed in the collision.
The driver of the Nissan that hit the family was identified as Ezekiel Lopez. He was arrested on the scene for multiple charges, including DUI.
