Sun Valley, CA (October 11, 2023) A police pursuit on Tuesday, October 10th, ended in a collision in Sun Valley. The California Highway Patrol was pursuiing a drunk driver when the suspect crashed into a dump truck.

The driver of a black Nissan Altima led officers on a high speed pursuit, exceeding 110 mph, through East Los Angeles. Officers said the driver was drunk and slammed into the back of a parked dump truck on northbound 5 Freeway at the Lankershim off-ramp.
The driver was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but no one else was injured. The California Highway Patrol’s East Los Angeles Office is conducting the investigation.
