BAKERSFIELD, CA (AUGUST 22, 2023): 29-year-old Peter Tony Preciado has been identified as the man killed in a tragic collision on Tuesday, August 17th in Bakersfield.
Preciado was a passenger in a sedan struck by a Dodge pickup truck at the intersection of Chester and California Avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

The driver of the sedan was also hospitalized in critical condition. Her status remains unknown.
The driver of the truck, 49-year-old , Luis Esquivel, was driving under the influence of alcohol when he struck the sedan. Esquivel was arrested for DUI, murder, driving with a suspended license and traffic violations.
