San Diego, CA (August 23, 2024) A terrible accident happened on Thursday, August 22 that left a 22-year-old man dead.
At about 11 p.m., two Oceanside residents were driving in a BMW sedan on SR-76 just east of Loretta Street. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over and eject the passenger.
The passenger sustained major injuries and head trauma. Paramedics rushed him to Scripps La Jolla Medical Center, but he tragically succumbed to his wounds at about 3:187 a.m.
The driver, who suffered minor injuries, was determined to be under the influence by authorities. He was
arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI-related charges.
