LOS ANGELES, CA (OCTOBER 29, 2023): A driver of a delivery truck was seriously injured after being struck by a DUI driver in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The collision occurred on Saturday, October 28th at around 5 a.m. near Mott Street. Los Angeles Police Department officer Drake Madison reported that the man was standing at the rear of his double-parked truck while loading it when a male driver crashed into him.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and transported the man to an area hospital, where he required surgery involving the removal of his leg. Following surgery, officer Madison reported that the man displayed stable vital signs.
Further information regarding the condition of the victim has not yet been released.
The male driver was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department as a DUI suspect. His identity has not yet been released.
The exact cause of this collision has not been made available as authorities continue to investigate this case involving a DUI driver in Los Angeles.
