Santa Rosa, CA (September 22, 2023) A man was reportedly driving while under the influence on Wednesday afternoon in Santa Rosa. The Santa Rosa Police Department said the man crashed into a local business.
The man was identified as 34-year-old Jesus Carreno-Ortiz from Santa Rosa. Authorities said he was driving south on Dutton when he turned into a parking lot without slowing down. He then crashed into the southeast corner of a business around 2:40 p.m.

He then got out of the vehicle, went into the store and tried to purchase alcohol. Police officers said that Carreno-Ortiz’s Blood Alcohol Count was 0.32%, which is 4 times the legal limit.
Carreno-Ortiz was arrested for suspicion of DUI, DUI with a BAC of 0.08%, driving with a suspended license and disobeying a court order, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.
